This policy covers our apps and our website, deckedbuilder.com. Part 1 is for Decked Builder Remastered 2.0 on iPhone, iPad, Mac, and Apple Vision Pro. Part 2 is for our earlier apps: Decked Builder 1.x on iOS, macOS, and visionOS, and our Android and Windows apps. Our Website, and every section after it, applies to all of them.
The app does not send us your decks, your collections, your scans, or any personal information. It downloads card data from our servers: the card database, prices, card images, set icons, and the data Card Cam uses to recognize cards. These are plain requests for files. They carry no account, no device identifier, and no advertising identifier.
Two requests name something specific. When you tap Buy on a card and the app does not already have that card’s TCGplayer link, it asks our server for the link using the card’s ID. When you open a Decked Builder share link, the app fetches that deck from our server using the share ID in the link.
As with any request on the internet, each request comes from your IP address. Cloudflare handles it for us; see Cloudflare below.
The app contains no analytics, crash-reporting, or advertising tools, and it does not track you.
Your decks and collections are files on your device. If you turn on iCloud Drive for the app, they are also kept in your own iCloud Drive, which Apple stores and syncs under your Apple ID. They are not sent to us.
Card Cam recognizes cards on your device. The camera images stay on your device.
Subscriptions are handled by Apple. The app checks your subscription on your device. We do not receive your payment details, your Apple ID, or a purchase receipt.
The Buy buttons open the store’s website in your browser. The link contains the card names and quantities you chose and our affiliate identifiers, which identify us and not you. The store, and the affiliate network it uses, handle your visit and any purchase under their own privacy policies, and the affiliate network may add its own click identifier.
Contact Support in Settings opens the Support page on our website in your browser. The app sends nothing and fills nothing in. What you type into the form is described under Our Website below. Diagnostics in Settings keeps a log on your device. It leaves your device only if you copy or share it yourself.
Apple provides the App Store, subscriptions, iCloud, and TestFlight. Apple’s privacy policy covers what Apple collects through them.
This part is for Decked Builder 1.x on iOS, macOS, and visionOS, and for our Android and Windows apps. Its wording is as it was before Decked Builder Remastered 2.0.
We do not collect any information except any data that is uploaded to our servers.
Our app collects aggregate, anonymous statistics, such as the percentage of users who use particular features, to improve the app.
You can read deckedbuilder.com without giving us anything. We use cookies on the site.
When you send us a message through the Support form, we store what you type: your email address, your name, the subject, and your message, and the platform, operating system version, app version, and device model you enter. We also store the IP address and the browser details (the user agent) that came with your message. We use them to answer you and to run and improve our support. The form uses Cloudflare Turnstile, which runs on Cloudflare’s servers, to check that the sender is not a bot, and Cloudflare can see your IP address when it does.
If you asked for beta access on our website, we stored your request: your email address, your Discord username and ID, your Circle City Gaming account ID, your IP address, and your browser details. We used them to decide on your request and to send your TestFlight invitation. Beta sign-up is now closed.
We keep contact messages and beta requests for as long as we need them to help you and for our support records. You can ask us to delete yours on the Support page.
Our website loads some of its code from public content delivery networks, including jsDelivr and Cloudflare. They can see your IP address when your browser loads that code.
For performance and overload protection, we direct your traffic through Cloudflare before it reaches our servers. They have access to some basic technical information to perform this role, such as your IP address. You can find Cloudflare’s privacy policy on their website.
We use the information we collect to operate and improve our website, apps, and customer support.
We do not share personal information with outside parties except to the extent necessary to accomplish the app’s functionality. We may share anonymous, aggregate statistics with outside parties, such as how many people use the app.
We may disclose your information in response to subpoenas, court orders, or other legal requirements; to exercise our legal rights or defend against legal claims; to investigate, prevent, or take action regarding illegal activities, suspected fraud or abuse, violations of our policies; or to protect our rights and property.
In the future, we may sell to, buy, merge with, or partner with other businesses. In such transactions, user information may be among the transferred assets.
We implement a variety of security measures to help keep your information secure. For instance, all communication with the app and website requires HTTPS. Passwords are hashed, not stored, using industry-standard methods (currently bcrypt).
Our apps display links and content from third-party feeds and sites and download files directly from third-party servers. These have their own independent privacy policies, and we have no responsibility or liability for their content or activities.
We comply with the California Online Privacy Protection Act. We, therefore, will not distribute your personal information to outside parties without your consent.
We never collect or maintain information at our website from those we actually know are under 13, and no part of our website is structured to attract anyone under 13.
By using our apps and providing your information, you authorize us to collect, use, and store your information outside of the European Union.
Information may be processed, stored, and used outside of the country in which you are located. Data privacy laws vary across jurisdictions, and different laws may be applicable to your data depending on where it is processed, stored, or used.
By using our site or apps, you consent to our privacy policy.
If you have questions regarding this privacy policy, please use the Support page on our website, https://deckedbuilder.com/support/.
If we decide to change our privacy policy, we will post those changes on this page.
